Our hands are so amazing and helpful. Yet they can look aged before their time, and hand pain can be very aggravating.
Aesthetically, hands can develop aging spots if not protected from the sun, so be sure to put some sunblock on the backs of your hands when you apply it to your face and neck in the mornings. Wearing UV-blocking gloves when out on the golf course or driving around for a long time can be helpful. Once the spots develop, they can be treated fairly simply using IPL (pulsed dye light) for lighter skin tones. This darkens the spots before they lift off after about a week, and of course may need to be repeated.
The texture of the hands can be refined by treating them with a carbon dioxide laser, such as a light Cool Peel that also helps reduce hyperpigmentation. Alternatively, lasers specifically for pigment (color) and redness can be used.
The fastest way to instantly improving the look of the hands is to use filler to hide the "veiny" appearance. Fillers can be traditional fillers such as Restylane Lyft, a hyaluronic acid filler, or more "bio-fillers" such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) bio filler with or without hyaluronic acid. The bio fillers don't last as long, but do have the huge benefit of helping regenerate the area, so over time and repetitions can truly turn back the hands of time.
If you want some hand pampering, we can do exfoliation, peels and masks to soften and soothe for showing off your bling or simply holding holds with your loved one....
At Pulsar Health, we don't currently offer routine hand surgery, but we can help improve hand functionality to some extent. Trigger finger nodules or ganglion cysts can be treated with steroid injections or platelet rich plasma (PRP). Joint pain can also be helped by PRP injections. For tendon pain in the elbow or wrist that isn't improving, try shockwave therapy with us (see the website section on Soft Tissue Injury Recovery). We also offer CBD products for topical pain relief.
